A to Z World Food and American Ancestors: Tying Your Family History through Food

This program has been canceled.

This will be an introduction to two of our brand new databases!

We now have American Ancestors available for in-Library use. Located in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood, New England Historical and Genealogical Society is America’s leading research center for genealogists of every skill level.  The NEHGS database, AmericanAncestors.org was funded by the RI Genealogical Society (RIGS) and is available in the Library.

Our other database, A to Z World Food, will be shown to patrons as a supplement to their cultural research. Here, patrons can explore food culture and traditional recipes from around the world. It’s a movable feast in a digital cookbook.  Access recipes in the library or at home! Also ideal for school projects, cooking groups, and book club fare.

*Please keep in mind this is NOT a workshop or how-to course. The databases will be explored on screen with participants to show the breadth of information available.
