The Library will be closing today, Friday, 11/22, at 4 PM to set up for the annual Taste of Portsmouth.

Narcan Training for Teens and Adults

Sponsored by the Newport and Portsmouth Prevention Coalitions, as a continuation of our Opioid Information session from March 9th. This training session is open to all teens and adults, with no minimum age restrictions. The training will include basic information about common opioids, signs to look for in an overdose, a review of the Good Samaritan Law, how to administer the nasal form of Narcan, and a question and answer session. 

No needles or injectable forms of Narcan will be available.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required so adequate amounts of supplies can be provided. If you have any questions, please call the Reference Desk at 401-683-9457 opt. 4.
