Children's Library Annual Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter Egg Hunt 2025 is here! Please join us starting at 10AM on Wednesday, April 16th for a story time and egg hunting fun. We will have eggs hidden in the garden outside the Children’s Library area with a surprise inside each one!
Family Halloween Party

Wrap-up 2024 Reading Challenge - Begins
Get ready to wrap up 2024 with an epic reading adventure! The Portsmouth Free Public Library invites kids from Pre-K to 5th grade to join the Wrap-up 2024 Reading Challenge. Running from November 4, 2024, to January 3, 2025, this challenge is packed with fun and prizes, all through the easy-to-use Beanstack (https://portsmouthlibrary.beanstack.org) online platform.
Annual Tree Lighting
We are so pleased to celebrate our annual Tree Lighting with your family...and with Santa! Come to the library on Sunday, December 1st at 5:30 pm to begin the celebration. Santa arrives promptly at 6 pm on a Firetruck (don't be late, you don't want to miss it!)
