They both wrote and published books for their senior projects at Portsmouth High School, and will be here to talk about the process, read an excerpt, and do a signing. Please register as space is limited. Great for those interested in writing, publishing, and for those who would like to support our local authors!

Fused Glass with Deenie

Create your very own fused glass pendant or magnet with colorful pre-cut glass in this easy, fun class.  Deenie Pacik Giuliano will walk participants through creating their own fused glass creation. All ages: adults, and children ages nine and up. Children ages 9-12 must be supervised one-on-one by an adult. No exceptions as this is a safety issue. No experience necessary.

All About Raptors

Educators from the Norman Bird Sanctuary are coming to teach us all about raptors!  Learn about the special adaptations that raptors employ for maximum hunting efficiency.  This presentation describes the differences between different groups of raptors, such as hawks and falcons, and highlights local species.  

From Earth to the Moon for Kids

July 20, 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the first humans landing on the Moon as part of NASA's Apollo 11 lunar mission.  Join Renée Gamba, Director of the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium, to learn about NASA's past lunar missions, and what future plans it may have for the Moon. This family fun program includes engaging hands-activities to learn about our Earth and its nearest neighbor in space! Make craters, learn about moon phases, and more!
