Join Roberta Conti for a presentation on the art and craft of rug hooking. She credits her mother Wilhelmina Shaw who taught rug hooking at Swinburne School for over 25 years, for introducing her to this wonderful and creative hobby. Over the years, Roberta’s mother tried to get her interested in the hobby without success. Then as Roberta was cleaning out her mother’s basement in 1986, she found a little stool. That one little stool project turned into a passion for rug hooking. Since then, Roberta has hooked 10 rugs, upholstered 8 antique stools, 5 chair seats, and 2 brick doorstops along with finishing projects that others couldn’t finish.
