Essay Workshop for High School Applications
Erica Conway will be hosting a free workshop for current 8th graders preparing to apply to high school, or current high schoolers looking to apply to a new school. This workshop will focus on tips and helpful information in writing the essays required for applying to area high schools and boarding schools. There will be time for questions.
Get Hooked on Needle Arts with Karen Katin & Stitchery
Join us for the catch of the summer! Karen Katin from the Stitchery will be here to teach you a new needle based craft, making your own nautical design. All materials and instruction will be provided. Stay tuned to see what project you will be working on! This class is for adults 18+ as part of our Summer Reading program.
Beginner Watercolor with Lana Quann
Join us for this beginner watercolor workshop with local artist Lana Quann from The Wandering Brush. All supplies will be provided. More details to come! Registration will open two weeks before the event. This class is for adults 18+ as part of our Adult Summer Reading program.
Kids' Yoga with Miss Jenny
Come join local PreK teacher, Miss Jenny as she shares yoga, mindfulness, music, books and more! This 45 minute class is open to children ages 4-6 years old with a caregiver. Yoga mats will be provided. We will meet in the program room at 9:30am. Registeration required and will open 2 weeks before event. One registeraion includes the combination of one adult and one child.

Education Committee Meeting
The Education Committee of Newport 100 ( a philanthropic group providing grants to Newport County nonprofits). Will be meeting ( in -person and zoom) to determine which organization to move forward for the 2026 awards.
