Third Tuesday Book Club

Join us for a discussion of A Long Way Home : a Memoir  by Saroo Brierly.

This is the incredible true story of Saroo Brierley, a young man who used Google Earth to rediscover his childhood life and home in a journey from India to Australia and back again.

Community Reading of the Declaration of Independence with Anne B. Wagner

People of all ages are invited to participate in the sixth annual reading of the Declaration of Independence on the grounds of Portsmouth Free Public Library. Each person who wishes may read a marked section of our nation’s founding document and we will finish in unison. Families are welcome and children who can read and recite are encouraged to take part. Copies will be available or you may bring your own. In case of rain, we will meet inside the library’s program room.

Book Signing: Local Teen Authors Kyra Rose and Kacey Victoria S.

Join us for a book talk, reading, and signing from local Portsmouth authors Kyra Rose and Kacey Victoria S. They both wrote and published books for their senior projects at Portsmouth High School, and will be here to talk about the process, read an excerpt, and do a signing. Please register as space is limited. Great for those interested in writing, publishing, and for those who would like to support our local authors!
