Girl Scouts ~ Make New Friends

We would like to use the library room to hold a Girl Scout Meeting - 1 day a week for 3 weeks in a row. It would be on Wednesdays. The dates we are interested in are: September 27th; October 4th; and October 11th. The first session will be a meet and greet and make a simple craft, the second session will be creating a robot out of paper cups and rubber bands. The third session will be another science type activities. This is geared towards K through 3rd grade.

Skyscrapers Inc. Presents: Sky Puppies, An Astronomy Program for Kids

About Skyscrapers: Skyscrapers, Inc. is a group of amateur astronomers who share a love of the sky. Members include knowledgeable veterans and beginning observers who get together regularly to discuss and learn about the science of astronomy. Our monthly meetings usually feature speakers from one of New England’s top schools, including Harvard, MIT and Brown, and cover topics spanning the fields of astronomy and cosmology. Also, several times a year our own members or other amateur astronomers may present talks about their observing experiences.

Community Fiber Arts Show - Opening Reception

We invite the friends, family, and local supporters of those who submitted their works of Fiber Art to join us for an opening reception after-hours at the Library. (The library will be closed to all services).

Refreshments will be served while the community appreciates the works of its members - from knitting, sewing, crochet, embroidery, cross-stitch, etc., - enjoy the efforts of all ages in sharing their love of the Fiber Arts. Born from our own Fiber Arts group here at the Library, we hope you enjoy the fruits of everyone's labor as much as we do.
