Join Roberta Conti for a presentation on the art and craft of rug hooking. She credits her mother Wilhelmina Shaw who taught rug hooking at Swinburne School for over 25 years, for introducing her to this wonderful and creative hobby. Over the years, Roberta’s mother tried to get her interested in the hobby without success. Then as Roberta was cleaning out her mother’s basement in 1986, she found a little stool. The Childen's Book Sale will feature hundreds of kids and 'tweens books and DVDs in like new condition. The books are 3 for $1 and DVDs are 50 cents each. This mini book sale will be held outside weather permitting or in the Mello Program Room if raining.
Kenneth Gloss, proprietor of the internationally known Brattle Book Shop in Boston’s Downtown Crossing section, will give a free and open talk about the value of old and rare books. Ken, who is also a frequent guest appraiser on PBS’ Antiques Roadshow, will talk in part about the history of his historic bookshop (www.brattlebookshop.com), which goes back to circa 1825. He is a second-generation owner.

FTCM(SS) Joseph Bransfield will discuss what sorts of scams and computer viruses are out there, the best methods to prevent attacks through your computer, smartphone or landline, and how to report attacks once they have occurred. He has spent more than 20 years working in information security.
