Circles and Silence: The Opioid Epidemic

To help support and honor the Portsmouth Prevention Coalition Wellness Week, we ask you to join us in a presentation by David Neil, the Violent Crime Prevention and Community Outreach Coordinator from the United State's Attorney's Office. A short film will be shown called Circles and Silence, an overview of the epidemic will be presented, and multiple speakers will be present to talk about their experiences. A question and answer session will follow.

The Photo Angel - How One Woman is Reuniting Ancestors with Their Descendants

Join us for an enlightening hour with Kate Kelley, a teacher who in her spare time scours flea markets and antique shops looking for old photos for sale. Using a variety of methods, Kate finds living descendants and relatives of the subjects of the photos and reunites them with their families. Soon to be featured on The Today Show, and previously featured on Chronicle and in the Boston Globe among other news outlets, it is a treat to welcome Kate to our library to share some of her treasures.
