Understanding and Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors
Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways for people with dementia to communicate their needs and feelings as the ability to use language is lost. However, some behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers to manage. Join us to learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers, and learn strategies to help intervene with some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.
Fiber Felting with Karen Katin
Join us with Karen Katin, from The Stitchery here in town, to learn how to felt wool onto fabric. Instruction, design planning, and execution will all be included. All materials provided, along with a set project, or if you are feeling a little creative, come up with your own.

Portsmouth AgInnovation, a student-led farm partnered with Eastern RI Conservation District. We would like to host an informational meeting for middle/high school students AND families to go on a 10-day agricultural trip to Ireland.

Chair Yoga 2 with Marie Brennan-Chasin
The Library is so excited to be offering a second session of Chair Yoga with Marie! This session immediately follows the first class except there will be no class on the first Tuesday of the month. To reach as many people as possible, please do not sign up for both sessions! Pick the time that works best for you and stay with this class as long as the classes are offered. Registration for this month's sessions begins on April 14.
