Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways for people with dementia to communicate their needs and feelings as the ability to use language is lost. However, some behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers to manage. Join us to learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers, and learn strategies to help intervene with some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.
Join us with Karen Katin, from The Stitchery here in town, to learn how to felt wool onto fabric. Instruction, design planning, and execution will all be included. All materials provided, along with a set project, or if you are feeling a little creative, come up with your own.

Portsmouth AgInnovation, a student-led farm partnered with Eastern RI Conservation District. We would like to host an informational meeting for middle/high school students AND families to go on a 10-day agricultural trip to Ireland.
Local artist John Irwin will guide the class in this fun and informative 2-hour session. Taking you step by step, John will go through the process of starting a painting and attendees will add or subtract certain elements
