Nicole Carrubba became Library Director in July 2026, having served previously as Assistant Director. Nicole joined the Portsmouth Free Public Library in 2006 as the Children's Librarian. She began her career at Westerly Public Library after earning her MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh. Nicole is excited to lead the library in its mission to grow with the community, enhance the quality of life of our users, and support lifelong learning.
