Portsmouth Free Public Library invites you to our 2015 "Taste of Portsmouth" fundraising event at the Library, 2658 East Main Road, on Friday, October 16, from 7 PM to 9 PM. Visit with your Portsmouth neighbors as you sample beer, wine, and restaurant specialties from local businesses. This fun event gives a glimpse at the many fine establishments that the area has to offer its residents and provides additional funding to support library services. Live auction will start at 8:30 PM. $25.00 per person.

She is unique in that she owns Diamond Hill Jewelers and will personally test all jewelry to ensure accuracy and the best possible return to the seller. Your jewelry will be professionally tested to verify metal alloy type and weighed by metal type (10kt,14kt,18kt,22kt,24kt gold, platinum, sterling silver). A settlement offer will be calculated based on the price of gold as quoted by the current London PM Fix.

Charlie Hall's Drink & Dabble (Rhode Island's Traveling Art Party) is the award-winning art party where people gather to sip cocktails, sample some nibbles, and try their hand at re-creating a chosen painting under the guidance of several talented instructors. And the best thing: NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! That's right - the only rules are to have fun, enjoy a drink, listen to some great party music, and take home the canvas that you just painted!
Come to the Gold Exchange Fundraiser at Portsmouth Free Public Library on Saturday, November 8 from 9 AM to 1 PM. Rummage through your jewelry box and find old, broken, unwanted gold or silver jewelry. Gold prices are up so now is a good time to sell your unwanted pieces. Touch-a-Truck will give the community’s youngsters (and adults) a chance to get up close and personal with all kinds of big and fascinating vehicles. From a school bus to a police car, from a race car to a fire truck, everyone will have the opportunity to hop on board, blow horns, and explore dozens of cool vehicles. Giant trucks, motorcycles and equipment volunteered by municipal and commercial organizations and individuals will be on display.
Have fun with neighbors and friends at the Library fundraiser! Enjoy beer, wine, and restaurant specialties from local businesses. A silent auction is new this year with items from The Portsmouth Shop, Lionel Champlin Guest House, the Newport Marriott, and more. Live auction starts at 8:30 PM.
On April 21, 2013 the Portsmouth R.I. 375th Celebration Committee will hold an Earth Day Kite Fly Event at Glen Park in Portsmouth. Also included will be a re-make of the photograph of the “We love Portsmouth Heart” that was cancelled due to the February 16 snow storm.
