We will be working on writing skills through group story telling, a fun activity that could create laughs among the entire group! Grades 6-12 are welcome to participate and snacks and beverages will be provided. No registration is required for this free program.

For students in grades K through 12, Kermin Liu, Esq., volunteer tutor, will offer free homework help in arithmetic (including decimals and fractions), pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus. Also, get help in how to study for other subjects such as history, science, English, etc. No advance sign up is required so just stop by between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM. Remember to bring your textbook, pencils, and paper.

Join us for a discussion of The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh.  The Victorian language of flowers was used to convey romantic expressions: honeysuckle for devotion, asters for patience, and red roses for love. But for Victoria Jones, it’s been more useful in communicating mistrust and solitude. After a childhood spent in the foster-care system, she is unable to get close to anybody, and her only connection to the world is through flowers and their meanings.
