FAQs related to borrowing items from the library

You may apply for a library card by visiting the circulation desk, or by clicking on the "Create an Account" in the drop down menu under My Account on http://catalog.oslri.net/. You must be a resident of the state, work in or go to school in RI in order to receive a library card. Self-registration on the website allows you to place holds on items but you must bring in valid identification in order to get a library card and check out the materials.

You may pay fines or fees by either mailing a check to the library as specified on the letter the library sent you, you may pay the fines in person at the library, or you may log in to your library account at http://catalog.oslri.net/, click on the pay fines and fees link, and pay with your credit card.

You may renew the items you have checked out by visiting the library, calling the circulation desk at the library, or reviewing your account online at http://catalog.oslri.net/ and clicking on the items you have checked out that you wish to enew.
