Summer Reading
Dig Into Summer Reading!
Are you ready to "Dig In" to summer reading with us? Here's what you need to know:
1. Sign up begins Monday June 24 in the Children's Room. You will be asked to fill out a card, choose your reading goal, and off you go!
2. Read what you want, when you want. We encourage your child to read anything that makes them love reading.
3. Stop in weekly to collect your reading incentives. We provide these mini-prizes to help your child associate reading with fun. Plus, we love to see them! Some children get encouragement from weekly visits to the library, others don't need the pat on the back to reach their reading goal. The choice is yours.
4. The program runs for 8 weeks, ending on Friday, August 16. Your child will be able to collect a free book of their choice, along with some other goodies.

Look Who's Coming to the Library!
Eric Fulford
Tuesday June 25 at 10 am Do you like reading comic books? Do you love stories of hidden treasure and grand adventure? How would you like to help CREATE one? Join Eric Fulford as he uses ideas from the audience to draw and tell the story of a brand new adventure hero! Featuring comedy, cartoons, and plenty of creativity, audience members can enjoy the fun. For children entering grades K through 6.
For Readers
Dig into Reading!
"Readers" are any child who has started the journey of reading independently. Whether your child reads independently, or partly with you, doesn't matter to us. What should matter is that your child (and you!) enjoy the experience of reading over the summer.

Little Listeners
Sharing Stories Together
Our Little Listener program is for our youngest friends who are not yet reading on their own. When you sign up, you are given a listening log lasting 30 days and a packet of stickers for your child to track their progress at home. So snuggle up and share some books together!
