Build a Better World

2017 Summer Reading Program

Sign Up runs from June 12 to July 14.

Once you register in the Children's Room, you can start to record your reading!  For our younger participants, we will be tracking days read.  For our older readers, you will need to read 6 books over the summer.  Don't worry about the details; when you come in to the Children's Room, we'll explain it all!

Enjoy Weekly Prizes June 19 to August 5.

Each week you visit the library and check out books, stop at the desk and choose an item from our Prize Bucket.

Some activities are drop-in, others require you to register.

Call us at 683-9457 or look at the calendar for more information.

You can turn in your completed reading logs from July 24 to August 12.

There will be special prizes for finishers.  We will choose our raffle prize winners at the end of the summer.  We want everyone to have a chance to win, so we can't draw our winners until after the last day of the program.  We promise to let everyone know when we've drawn the lucky tickets!

Brunch Book Club

Join us July 27 at 10 am for our discussion of this year's Kids Reading Across RI selection: Save Me a Seat.

Joe's lived in the same town all his life, and Ravi's family just moved to America from India. They don't start as friends - but soon they have a common enemy (the class bully) and a common mission: to take control of their lives over the course of a single crazy week!

Read the book at your own pace, then join us for a lively and casual meeting where we talk about what we read.

This book has a suggested reading level of grades 3 through 5.

We have 10 free copies to read and keep; sign up and get yours while they last.
